Below I have two of my favorite papers from CAS 137H. One is a rhetorical analysis and the other is a paradigm shift research paper. While the two papers are on different topics, each one has a special meaning to me. I am extremely proud of each of these essays.

The New Face of Law Enforcement
This rhetorical analysis essay analyzes how two mediums of art address the current discourse on racial tensions and police brutality. I wrote about the Time Magazine May 2015 cover and the "We Are Here" movements video titled "23 Ways You Could Be Killed If You Are Black in America". Both mediums demonstrated an extensive use of rhetorical devices combined with stylistic choices to send their message. The paper below explores the ways they made this possible.

The Evolution of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
This research paper explores the evolution of PTSD in terms of terminology, treatment, and understanding. I used major wars as pivotal moments in the development of this disorder. The wars provide a chronological timeline that help explain worldly perceptions of this mental illness.
